Role Performing/ Description: The senior developer is accountable for implementing code as specified in the design and ensuring the implemented software fully satisfies functional and non-functional requirements. * Collaborate with the designer to understanding and assess design implications. * Produce code as specified in the design and coding standards, and ensure code builds and integrates with the existing code base. * Provide technical details such as new deployable units, configuration settings, and data dependencies for inclusion with the build notes. * Produce and conduct automated, repeatable, data-driven developer unit tests of test all public and package scoped interfaces contained within the implementation. * Maintain a working knowledge of the various technical aspects of the development environment (e.g. build scripts, deployment scripts, configuration management scripts, logging infrastructure). * Repair software defects during test and warranty periods. * Prototype and investigate components and technologies as needed on a project basis. * Develop application information that can be used to design application transaction database tables. * Conduct code reviews. * Identify re-use opportunities from current bottom-up development activities and implement based on design and architecture guidance.

Required Skills:
* 3 to 5 years experience developing on a J2EE development project for a Financial Services company
* 3 to 5 additional years experience as a developer * Development using Weblogic * Experience with RMI / JMS technology

* Strong systems design skills * Developed using Struts * UDB / DB2

CONTRACTS is for a minimum of 6 months and can extend upto 15 months.
